About me
Hi there 👋 My name is Rui Tao (陶瑞). I am currently a first-year Ph.D. candidate at SIMIS, advised by Prof.Liangliang Shi.
Before joining SIMIS, I received my B.Eng. degree in Computer Science from SJTU as a member of the IEEE Honor Class. I was fortunate to work as a research intern at ReThinkLab, advised by Prof.Junchi Yan.
My current interests span ML/DL, optimization, auto-formalization. Previously, I worked extensively on Optimal Transport (OT) theory. I am interested in developing neural approaches for efficient optimization, as well as discovering new computational structures in learning systems that inspire better models and algorithms.

Project
▣ Exploration in SLU:
We explored several improvements in Chinese Semantic-Slot-Filling task from data and model perspectives.
▣ Noodle Scholar:
Neat scholar search engine for 2,000,000+ selected papers on Arxiv. Support table parsing, picture extraction, LLM summary, Latex render and statistical analysis.
▣ Infection Model:
Parameter-free agent-based modeling for infectious propagation. We simulated a school-building environment to study the spread of infectious viruses under different behaviors of the crowd.
▣ Snake Adventure:
An advanced greedy-snake developed by Qt. Compared to traditional greedy-snake, it has added large amount of objects and adventure plots. Complex maps and missions have been designed based on the plot.
